International Yacht Vacations & Charters Magazine
This week I posted two blog entries about the much needed clean up in tourist destinations of Bodrum and its surroundings. My blog posts must have touched a nerve among the residents and business owners of Bodrum, some supporting and others criticizing my comments. Please note, I added my answers inline.

Mr. Genovese,
Thank you for informing the local authorities of Bodrum with your deadline of June 30, 2009 in order to clean up the aquarium region of the town via your blog post.
You are quite welcome!
Did you have a chance to inform the municipality or the other associations directly about your problem and your threatening style?
1) My blog posts were my notification to all responsible parties, and I am sure like yourself, Mr. Mayor and every organization in town have seen and read them.
2) I don't have a problem, I don't live in Bodrum or my business does not depend on the tourism industry in Bodrum. You and Bodrum however have a serious problem. Please see the photos in my original blog posts, I can supply additional images if you guys don't get it. My June 30 deadline remains, if you and the mayor do not clean up this mess, my volunteers will. You should be ashamed of yourself as a business owner whose livelihood depends on tourism business in your town. Shame on you!
I want to learn from you = from whom you have got the right to judge the activities of the mayor and to threat the mayor of Bodrum for cleaning up the shore within your deadline.
I am officially adding you and your company to my June 30, 2009 clean up deadline. If you and the mayor do not clean up your town and your act, you should also hang yourself with shame. How can you dare to email me with a straight face? The gulets your firm is renting are directly responsible from this garbage pile since there is no road access to many of these garbage dumps along the shore. Shame on you!
Do you know Turkey or lived in Turkey or Bodrum? When did you start living in Bodrum?
I live in New York. I visit Bodrum every summer for the past 30 years, long before you started your yacht charter business there. People like you and your mayor should not be allowed to live in Bodrum and you should not be allowed to operate yacht charter company in Bodrum.
If you are a new comer, let me give you some information about the cleaning activities of our town.
Thank you, but I don't need to know. Just show me the results. Are you a business man or a Turkish politician like your "kabadayi" prime minister? Act like a responsible and a competent buisness man and clean the garbage your customers left behind.
Bodrum chamber of commerce, Bodrum Chamber of Shipping, Bodrum Mariners Association and the Bodrum Municipality are all working all together in those kind of major matters and public issues. They have provided a solid dump boat to collect the daily garbage from the boats and from the shores of the peninsula who are sailing around.
Show me the cleaned up pictures of the garbage dumps. Your deadline is June 30, 2009!
I believe you have a personal problem with the mayor of Bodrum? Your blog and your thesis about the cleaning issues of Bodrum should not have a link with the outfit and the hair style of the mayor of Bodrum.
I don't know the man, I looked him up moments before I posted my blog. I am sure he is a nice man. It does not make him qualified to be the mayor of Bodrum with shit floating everywhere. Yes, I have a problem with his hair, he is not running for a post in a hair jell commercial. He should be busy working for the city. He has too much time in his hands to pose for the cameras. He needs to stop this nonsense and get his act together and start working for Bodrum.
Here is not Japan, in any mistakes or failure of public activities, the mayor of Bodrum who is TURKISH and not a Turk as you have mentioned in your page, he tries his best to solve the problem with his associates and public support instead of hanging himself.
If he is not capable of cleaning up the shit, how will he do real work? If he can't keep his city clean, what can he possibly do for his own life? Yes, he should quit or he should hang himself. Tell him if he can't learn from and beat the mayor of Eskisehir then he is not good for Bodrum, actually he is not good for anything. He should just hang himself!
If you have other queries or subjects to discuss, before you take an action in the imaginary world of internet, you are free to contact me personally.
For an old man, you don't understand the imaginary world of internet, do you? If you did, you and your idiot mayor Kocadon would not think you would get away with murder, would you?
Well my friend, the imaginary world of internet can make you a very wealthy man or put you out of business. I would not wish that to my enemy. In my next blog I will post the reviews of all the gulets you are advertising in your website. I have been to most in the past 20 years, if not all of them. I have very good things to write for many and horror stories from hell for others. --S.G.
