"Though it's been around for a while, AJAX (Asynchronous Javascript + XML) is now a hot topic in the application developer community because it brings cross-platform rich user interfaces to web applications without having to use products like Microsoft .NET or Macromedia," said Steve Benfield, VP of strategy & technology evangelism at ClearNova, Inc., as it was announced that executives from ClearNova will be championing AJAX in their session at the South Florida Java User's Group in the Miami area on August 17. The discussion is titled "Using AJAX to Build Rich Internet Applications," and will take place Wednesday, August 17 from 6:30 to 9:00 PM at Nova Southeastern University, University Park Plaza, 3424 University Drive, Davie, FL 33328-2018.
