"Companies such as Ektron that understand the value of investing in community practices and have dedicated resources have shown to be much more successful in delivering business results, " said Rachel Happe of The Community Roundtable. "We are seeing dramatic increases in community budgets and this trend is verified by a recent HubSpot report, The 2011 State of Inbound Marketing, stating that the average spend on social media has increased from nine percent of marketing budgets in 2009 to 17 percent in 2011."
In his first public appearance with Ektron at OMMA Global New York, Mott will moderate the panel, "Essentials of Real-Time Marketing - Email Plus Websites," on September 26, 2011 at 12:15 p.m. EDT. Panelists will discuss and debate how and why direct and interactive marketers should be more responsive to audience behaviors, needs and changes via real-time engagement.
"Erick is adept at creating and integrating a wide variety of channels and media to reach, engage and empower community stakeholders," said Tom Wentworth, Ektron Chief Marketing Officer. "He joins Ektron at an important time as we invest more in helping customers, partners and developers connect content to revenue via key digital channels - including websites, email, mobile and social. Erick will play a major role in sharing web innovation, success stories and best practices gleaned from the global community we serve."
