Ingres and Cognizant Partner to Create Business Open Source Alternative

Ingres Chosen as Preferred Database for Cognizant's Open Source Center of Excellence

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., April 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Ingres Corporation, the leading business open source database company, today announced a partnership with Cognizant Technology Solutions , a leading provider of IT services, to provide a comprehensive business open source database and services solution for enterprise customers. This is Cognizant's first partnership with an open source database provider, and gives Cognizant and its customers the opportunity to collaborate on the development of their open source database solutions, while lowering their total cost of ownership.
