Unisys to Deliver New Services for MySQL Open Source Database Software

Agreement Designed to Ease Implementation;Help Clients Realize Operational, Cost Benefits

Unisys intends to tune and optimize MySQL for Unisys platforms, completing both performance and scalability testing along with MySQL developers. Additionally, Unisys intends to deploy a global team of MySQL-certified consultants who can migrate, implement and optimize MySQL throughout an enterprise. The Unisys consultants will be key members of Unisys global open source centers of excellence, where customers can benchmark and test business-critical applications employing the database in a lab environment before moving them into production.

Unisys has made an intensive commitment to providing a comprehensive, secure, integrated open source software stack comprising Linux operating environments, middleware, and database management systems such as MySQL. Unisys services for the open source environment help organizations maximize the benefits of open source software at all key levels – business applications, applications infrastructure and technology infrastructure – and integrate components being developed by open source communities into value-creating business applications.
