These new partnerships bolster Covalent's ability to deliver commercial support and service offerings for popular open source projects out of the Apache Software Foundation on a global basis, namely the Apache Web Server, Apache Tomcat Application Server, Apache Axis Web Services Framework, and the Apache Geronimo Application Server, and complement existing Covalent partnerships already in place in Japan, Germany, Australia, and the United Kingdom.
Providing a range of services from professional training and support to consulting and integration, the new partners include: 100 Days based in Stuttgart, Germany; kippdata of Bonn, Germany; SoftPro Systems based in Hyderabad, India; IDCIndia of Pune, Maharashtra, India; UPCO of Guildford, England; Sense Training Services of Bridgewater, England; and Manila, Philippines-based Q Linux Solutions.
Commenting on the new partnerships, Mark Brewer, chief executive officer of Covalent Technologies, says, "Given the rapid adoption of open source technologies around the globe, we are pleased to announce these strategic partnerships that will greatly enhance the Covalent ecosystem."
"We are pleased to partner with the dominant global purveyor of commercial support for projects coming out of the Apache Software Foundation," says Rainer Jung, CEO for kippdata.
