SAN FRANCISCO, April 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Jaspersoft, maker of the world's most widely used business intelligence (BI) software, today announced that JasperReports Server Community Edition is available on the new Amazon Web Services Marketplace (AWS Marketplace). As an open source BI solution, JasperReports Server gives developers, IT and BI professionals the power to instantly produce, customize and deploy interactive, cloud-based reports free of charge.
The AWS Marketplace is an online storefront that helps its customers find and buy the software they need for completing development projects and for running their businesses. With the launch of AWS Marketplace, Jaspersoft is now available as a pre-configured Amazon Machine Image (AMI), enabling customers to deploy it in the Amazon Compute Cloud (EC2) with just a few mouse clicks. Access to Jaspersoft gives customers the ability to instantly build advanced, scalable reporting capabilities to uncover new insights into their projects and businesses.
By offering JasperReports Server within the AWS Marketplace, both companies give BI professionals powerful, yet lightweight reporting and design tools on a secure, scalable cloud infrastructure. Accessing secure interactive reports and charts through JasperReports Server on AWS requires no hardware or software installations, and runs completely within the AWS cloud environment for easy deployment.
"In this changing IT world, both business users and BI professionals are looking for faster, easier and more cost-effective ways to deploy business intelligence," said Brian Gentile, CEO of Jaspersoft. "Through the availability of JasperReports Server on the AWS Marketplace, we are now making this a reality for the world's most widely deployed business intelligence software."
