"Aside from our core Web hosting business, email is our most mission critical service. To ensure our email customers receive the highest quality of service, with zero downtime, we implement multiple layers of redundancy and a dedicated infrastructure, physically separate from our hosting offerings," stated Heiko Heerwagen, CEO of internet24. "We needed a reliable, commercial security vendor and Commtouch was a good match, with the added advantage of a complete email security suite from one supplier. The solution easily integrated into our existing infrastructure and has reduced the resource usage of our email offering, while improving protection for our customers."
To reduce overhead and operational complexity, internet24 replaced its multi-vendor email security environment with Commtouch's consolidated Email Security Suite. The new security service, which was selected after evaluating various commercial and open source solutions, has reduced internet24's resource utilization by 80% and provided improved spam and virus detection for its users. internet24 has also implemented Commtouch's Outbound Spam Protection solution (OSP), which reduces IP blacklisting and disruptions to user services.
Commtouch's consolidated Email Security Suite includes:
- Anti-Spam and IP Reputation services – based on Commtouch's patented Recurrent Pattern Detection™ (RPD™) technology
- Antivirus for Email – Commtouch's unique dual cloud and engine based solution for early detection of zero-hour malware-based threats.
- Outbound Spam Protection – blocking and identifying the sources of 99% of outgoing spam, with nearly zero false positives.
"Managing multiple security solutions from different vendors adds unnecessary operational overhead for hosting providers," stated Ofer Tal, vice president of international sales and business development at Commtouch. "Commtouch's consolidated, cloud-based email security suite significantly simplifies internet24's implementation of comprehensive email security services for its customers."
The new Commtouch security services are available to all internet24 email customers as part of their core email services.
