SOASTA announced today that CloudTest will be offered as the first mobile and web performance testing service as part of CollabNet’s new CloudForge hybrid cloud development platform. Now, Mobile and Web developers on the CloudForge dPaaS will have access to the power of CloudTest to deliver the faster results demanded by the rapid pace of today’s application projects.
“CollabNet understands that delivering a complete platform for Agile ALM and DevOps requires functional test automation and realistic scale performance testing,” said Tom Lounibos, SOASTA CEO. “CloudForge brings together all of the critical services needed to rapidly build cloud-based applications in the enterprise. We’re excited to be the foundational testing service that completes the set of core CloudForge services.”
CloudTest delivers functional test automation and performance testing with critical integration that speeds the creation and time-to-results of tests for developers and testers from early in the lifecycle throughout live production. With existing integration to Continuous Integration servers such as Jenkins and Hudson and monitoring technologies like New Relic, developers can begin immediately building tests to assure the highest test coverage and deepest performance diagnostics.
“SOASTA is the pioneer and leader in mobile and cloud testing,” said Jim Ensell, chief marketing and strategy officer for CollabNet. “Testing has always been a central tenet of development, but has provided challenges and time constraints for fast-moving teams. CloudTest is the natural choice for CloudForge because of its game-changing speed and scale for testing today’s mobile and web apps.”
CloudForge represents the industry’s first enterprise-grade dPaaS offering, and underpins CollabNet’s strategy to lead the adoption and growth of Enterprise Cloud Development. It provides code repository hosting (Subversion and Git), access to hosted and third-party Agile tools, and facilitates the deployment of applications to public and private cloud environments. It uniquely extends to and integrates with on-premise and cloud-based applications like TeamForge, Subversion Edge and leading commercial and open source based tools, or to affiliated platforms like SOASTA. This mix of hybrid cloud and lifecycle capabilities enables development teams to leverage the power of Agile processes and DevOps initiatives – while providing the enterprise with a centralized view of productivity, cost management and compliance.
CloudTest is available today as a free download via CollabNet App Center.
