VPSLink, of www.vpslink.com, has announced the addition of Ubuntu Linux to its VPS product line. VPSLink is a wholly owned subsidiary of Virtual Private Server hosting industry leader Spry.com.
Stephen Koenig, Director of Research & Development, said "Ubuntu has carved a respectable niche with systems administrator and developers alike, and we are proud to offer this state of the art platform on our Virtual Hosting products." Koenig noted that VPSLink is not your typical hosting provider, "VPSLink is designed specifically for Linux power users. We focus on providing cutting edge technology at ultra-competitive prices.”
Ubuntu is fast becoming the most popular Linux distribution and was awarded the Reader Award for best Linux distribution at the 2005 LinuxWorld Conference & Expo in London. Ubuntu includes more than 16,000 applications ready to install. Ubuntu 6.0 (Dapper Drake) was released in May and is now availalbe on all VPSLink hosting plans.
