Virtual Private Server Web hosting provider VPSLink (vpslink.com) has the addition of Ubuntu Linux to its VPS product line.
"Ubuntu has carved a respectable niche with systems administrator and developers alike, and we are proud to offer this state of the art platform on our virtual hosting products," says Stephen Koenig, director of research and development at VPSLink. "VPSLink is not your typical hosting provider and is designed specifically for Linux power users. We focus on providing cutting edge technology at ultra-competitive prices."
Ubuntu is quickly becoming the most popular Linux distribution and includes more than 16,000 applications ready to install. Ubuntu 6.0 (Dapper Drake) was released in May and is available on all VPSLink hosting plans.
VPSLink is a wholly owned subsidiary of VPS Web hosting provider Spry Hosting and focuses on open source technologies. Spry Hosting launched VPSLink at the end of May.
