DENVER, Nov. 7, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Blackboard Inc. and Kaltura, the leading open source video platform, announced today an expanded partnership across Blackboard's learning platforms. Institutions using Moodlerooms's Moodle-based platform, joule, can now access Kaltura's advanced video tools directly in their learning management system.
Also new, Blackboard and Kaltura plan to offer the Blackboard Building Block™ more broadly to Blackboard Learn™ customers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, expanding the availability of Kaltura's video tools and capabilities in Blackboard's flagship learning management system.
Through the partnership, students, instructors and administrators can add videos to courses, submit video assignments, view lecture videos, see a playlist of campus events, access videos from the library and build a personal media library inside their Blackboard or Moodle course.
