In addition, the educational community in Japan has been active contributors to SDN research over the last few years. SDNCentral hopes to extend its reach to these researchers and help promote active discussion. "Software-Defined Networking is huge in Japan, and to have the knowledge and information from SDNCentral in Japanese will help grow the overall community," said Dr. Suguru Yamaguchi, professor at the Nara Institute of Science and Technology in Japan, and former Japanese government's Advisor on Information Security for the Cabinet (in GOJ cabinet secretariat).
