SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 12/03/12 -- Piston Cloud Computing, Inc., the enterprise OpenStack company, today announced cloud computing and open source industry veteran Jim Morrisroe as its new Chief Executive Officer. Morrisroe has more than 20 years of leadership experience at high-growth companies, including serving as Vice President and General Manager of Zimbra, a VMware company, and Vice President of Sales at Storigen and Cemaphore Systems.

Prior to joining Piston Cloud, Morrisroe spent seven years as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Zimbra, where he was responsible for strategy, product and engineering for a major VMware product division. Morrisroe also led the Zimbra team during its successful spin out from Yahoo! and its acquisition and integration by VMware. Previously, Morrisroe served as Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Cemaphore Systems, and led sales efforts at leading enterprise technology companies including, Cabletron Systems and Lucent Technologies.
Co-founder and former CEO Joshua McKenty will remain at Piston Cloud and will take on a new role as co-founder and Chief Technology Officer, where he will lead product innovation and OpenStack engagement for the company.
