For the fourth consecutive year, OCEG will be presenting the GRC Achievement Awards at the annual Compliance Week conference, which is taking place in Washington, D.C., on May 20-22, 2013. Nominations must be submitted on or before April 1, 2013.
This award is given to organizations that demonstrate the value they have gained by taking an integrated approach to the governance, management and assurance of performance, risk and compliance using the OCEG Red Book GRC Capability Model. From the winners, the judges also select one winner for the grand Principled Performance Prize.
The 2012 winners were:
- Sybase, an SAP company (also winner of the Principled Performance Prize)
- The Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago
- Lanka ORIX Leasing Company of Sri Lanka
- U.S. Treasury, Bureau of Public Debt, Office of Financing
“The awards offer an opportunity for everyone to learn from both companies and government agencies that demonstrate how they are achieving their objectives while addressing uncertainty and acting with integrity,” said OCEG Co-Founder and President, Carole Switzer, as she made the call for nominations. “We look forward to once again receiving submissions from entities of many types, in many countries, and sharing the winning projects with our global membership of 40,000 individuals and others working in GRC roles.”

ABOUT OCEG
OCEG is a nonprofit think tank dedicated to helping organizations reliably achieve their objectives, while addressing uncertainty and acting with integrity. This is what OCEG calls Principled Performance, and it is a goal that every organization can achieve by integrating and aligning their approaches to the governance, assurance and management of performance, risk and compliance. Processes for achieving that integrated approach, commonly called GRC, is supported by the open source standards set out in OCEG’s Red Book GRC Capability Model. The companion set of agreed upon procedures set out in OCEG’s GRC Assessment Tools (the Burgundy Book) provide an opportunity for self-assessment and OCEG certification of the design and operation of an organization’s entire GRC capability or aspects of it as they are matured over time. OCEG offers hundreds of resources, online and live training opportunities, and a community within which individuals can continually build their skills and organizations can collaborate.
