Agilysys, Inc. (Nasdaq: AGYS), a leading provider of innovative retail information technology and hospitality software solutions, today announced major enhancements to its NextVision mobile applications suite.
The enhancements—to NextGateway, NextManager and NextPosition—will be installable on numerous platforms and were designed to provide retail managers and store associates access via multiple applications to real-time store and enterprise information through mobile devices.
NextGateway is the newest addition to the NextVision software suite that affords Agilysys the opportunity to provide retailers a wide array of value-add systems functionality based on their existing software investments. It runs as a Java virtual machine within the existing store server infrastructure and is a light-weight framework installable on many POS platforms, including Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions (TGCS) 4690, Windows and Linux. NextGateway was designed to support a wide array of feature plug-ins such as store activity reporting, item price information, printer integration, emailing receipts and options for accessing and sharing local store and enterprise data. It will be available this month for 4690 OS, and Agilysys plans to expand to other retail environments such as SAP early in 2013.
Agilysys’ NextManager product was enhanced to use the Company’s new gateway framework to implement store reporting, terminal monitoring and manager alerts. Versions 3T and 3S will enable managers to receive immediate access to real-time store information via their Windows Mobile, iOS or Android-based mobile devices. NextManager Version 3T was redesigned to provide separate modules for store reports. In addition, it affords monitoring and alerts to users of Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions 4690-based ACE advanced POS applications and will be available this month. NextManager Version 3S, which will be available in March 2013, will provide a reporting module for SAP’s POS system.
NextPosition Version 3T will enable full mobile POS functionality for Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions (TGCS) 4690-based Supermarket Application and ACE applications and will be available in April 2013. The software will be tightly integrated with TGCS Store Integrator Framework (SIF) and VeriFone’s PayWare Mobile Enterprise solutions with all forms of payment via secure transaction on an iTouch, iPad or Android mobile device.
“Mobile technologies are driving the convergence of applications including POS, payments, loyalty, store and enterprise data with voice,” said Aaron Hagler, vice president, solutions delivery, Agilysys Retail Solutions Group. “Every retailer is looking for a framework, strategy and integration partner to enable the deployment of mobility at the store level. Agilysys’ NextVision enhancements and more than two decades of experience with store, POS and mobile solutions provide the right foundation and recipe for enabling our retail customers’ success.”
Agilysys is ideally suited to drive the delivery and deployment of end-to-end, best-in-class mobility solutions. To find out more, please visit Agilysys during the NRF 102nd Annual Convention & EXPO at Booth #1857.
