Open source integration provider committed to the support of newest Data Warehouse as a Service platform for big data integration and quality in the Cloud
TDWI World Conference, Las Vegas - February 21, 2013 - Talend, a global open source integration software leader, today announced support for Amazon Redshift, the fast and powerful, fully managed, petabyte-scale data warehouse service in the cloud from Amazon Web Services (AWS). Using Talend's big data integration and quality solutions, Talend Open Studio for Big Data, Talend Enterprise Big Data and Talend Platform for Big Data, business analysts, data scientists and enterprise architects can scale their ability to load and cleanse data sets of any type and size in Amazon Redshift.
"Talend provides enterprise-class big data solutions to integrate the new generation of data warehousing platforms with the rest of the information system," said Terry Wise, Head of Worldwide Partner Ecosystem, AWS. "We are pleased to work with Talend to give customers more options to easily and quickly transform, cleanse, and load data into Amazon Redshift."
"Data Warehousing as a Service (DWaaS) brings an extremely compelling value proposition to the analytics market," said Fabrice Bonan, Talend's co-founder and chief technical officer. "Amazon Redshift brings the scalability and cost-effectiveness of the Cloud to the analytical database market, removing barriers to adoption and dramatically lowering both the cost and the complexity of data warehousing. Talend is excited to bring its integration technology to Amazon Redshift customers."
By using Talend's connectors to Amazon Redshift, users will be able to load and extract data to and from Amazon Redshift, and also connect the Cloud-based data warehousing platform to the full spectrum of transactional, operational and analytic data sources found in enterprise environments, whether deployed on-premise or in the Cloud. Only Talend scales for today's big data and cloud environments with more than 450 native connectors to relational databases, packaged applications, SaaS applications, files, legacy systems, Hadoop clusters, NoSQL databases, and more.
In addition, Talend's unique data quality capabilities, natively included in the Talend Platform for Big Data, eliminate inconsistent data, enforce rules and create consistent information through standardisation. Only Talend enables data governance teams to become more productive by working together to access, understand and standardise data for any data domain such as name, address or product data. By enforcing high data standards in the data warehousing platform, enterprises enhance the accuracy and usefulness of their analytics.
Availability
Talend connectors for Amazon Redshift will be available to all users within 30 days from Talend Exchange, Talend's community sharing platform for components and models, and for direct download through the Talend Studio. They will be included in a future release of the Talend Platform.
