Userful Corporation announced the availability of its multi-station Linux software that enables Ubuntu users worldwide to easily add multiple workstations to their existing computers. Userful partnered with Ubuntu as an ISV to add robust, user-friendly multi-station functionality in the hopes that even more people will benefit from access to modern computer desktops.

Userful's Multiplier software is ideally suited for organizations that wish to deploy large numbers of workstations for users without deploying a large number of computers. By sharing the processing power and resources of modern, often overpowered PCs with up to nine additional users, Userful and Ubuntu can reduce IT management, electrical and cooling costs by more than fifty percent per workstation.

Ubuntu 6.06 users who wish to try Userful's Multiplier should enable the multiverse option for 'dapper-updates' and install the 14 MB 'desktop-multiplier' package.
