ClearOne erwirbt Spontania und erweitert sein Videokonferenzangebot um Cloud-Lösungen

SALT LAKE CITY, 9. Januar 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- ClearOne (NASDAQ: CLRO) hat mit der spanischen Dialcom Networks, S.L. eine Vereinbarung über den Erwerb von Spontania in bar für € 3,65 Millionen (ca. US$ 5,0 Millionen) unterzeichnet. Spontania ist eine softwaregestützte Cloud-Kooperationslösung, welche die Vorteile von Videokonferenzen und Webkonferenzen in einer einzigartigen, effektiven und leistungsstarken Unternehmenslösung kombiniert, die auf Zehntausende Anwender ausbaubar ist.

Mit der Übernahme von Spontania wird ClearOne zum einzigen Unternehmen, das eine vollständig softwaregestützte Produktlinie für Videokonferenzen anbieten kann, die lokale und cloudgestützte Software-as-a-Service- (SaaS-) und Platform-as-a-Service- (PaaS-) Lösungen umfasst. Spontania ergänzt das bestehende COLLABORATE® (VCON)-Angebot der standortbasierten Unternehmenslösungen für Videokonferenzen von ClearOne.

ClearOne wird die Akquisition praktisch aller Vermögenswerte von Spontania mit vorhandenen Barmitteln finanzieren und dafür keine Fremdmittel aufnehmen. Die Übernahme sollte sich sofort positiv auswirken und bis zum Ende des ersten Quartals 2014 abgeschlossen sein. Sie unterliegt den üblichen Abschlussbedingungen und den darauf anwendbaren behördlichen Genehmigungen.
