Workday Selects Cape Clear For SOA Integration

Cape Clear Chosen As Workday's ESB Platform For SOA Integration

Cape Clear Software and Workday announced that Cape Clear has been chosen as Workday's enterprise service bus (ESB) platform for service-oriented architecture (SOA) integration. Workday, which also announced its company launch and first hosted service, is focused on building the next generation of on-demand, ERP solutions to meet the needs of today's dynamic and global business environment. As a native Web services SOA company, Workday needed an agile ESB Platform -- as opposed to a complex legacy EAI solution -- to aid customers in integrating with third-party applications. After careful consideration, Cape Clear's ESB was chosen for this modern approach.

"We chose Cape Clear's ESB Platform for two reasons: they are the recognized market leader, and they are considered the industry's visionary experts," said Stan Swete, vice president of products and technology for Workday. "With the help of Cape Clear, we've been able to deliver an innovative integration layer that supports flexibility and usability -- both for us and for our customers -- better than any other enterprise system today."

Workday is a mover in delivering a software-as-a-service (SaaS) offering based on an SOA, enabling easier and richer service-level integration with customers and their native systems. Companies will no longer be forced to bolt on additional applications and deal with complex integrations in order to support their company's business needs. With the freedom and vendor independence of Cape Clear, Workday can effectively anticipate the different customer environments into which they must integrate.

Most software-as-a-service players have an Achilles' heel -- they are unable to easily integrate with their customers' existing applications and systems," said Annrai O'Toole, CEO of Cape Clear. "By leveraging Cape Clear's ESB Platform, Workday has overcome this critical challenge. With both SOA and SaaS, Workday is uniting hosted solutions and their customer environments."

Cape Clear is the only ESB Platform built for the realities of SOA, delivering greater flexibility and lower total cost of ownership. Cape Clear enables increased productivity through a unified product, ensuring SOA best practices and ease of use, and is the only ESB Platform that can fully support a customer's existing and future heterogeneous environments.
