IMSC's Integraf Integration Platform Enables Business Analysts to Build Enterprise Integration Solutions

ARLINGTON, VA--(Marketwired - March 27, 2014) - Information Management Solutions Consultants (IMSC) announces the commercial release of Integraf, a flexible and intuitive integration and interoperability platform for combining information from disparate data sources and for building enterprise web services. Integraf is based on open standards from the W3C and strongly leverages open source technology to achieve scalability and economy.

Integraf's flexibility and scalability is ideally suited to supporting a range of initiatives, such as Data Integration and Data Virtualization; Business Intelligence/Analytics/Data Warehousing; Services Oriented Architecture (SOA) Implementation; and Information Exchange and Interoperability. Data integration efforts are traditionally based on rigid and complex data structures based on their individual system requirements, and each system has unique needs and design. With Integraf, the data has no predefined structure or model, so it is very flexible. Data is based on shared meanings, or a common vocabulary, that can be used across the organization. This is far simpler than working with standard data models. Applications are not coded for a specific service; web services use this common vocabulary. The data is also "self-describing," so it is much easier to understand what the data really means.

Integraf's inherent flexibility makes it ideal for industry solutions where interoperability requirements are critical and, in some cases, not yet fully understood. Accountable Care Organizations are a good example. Rather, Integraf provides interoperability across these growing organizations and enhances their current technology investment in order to meet the new requirements.

Integraf uses semantic technology to integrate multiple data models into a single, canonical form and enables development of services on this combined view of enterprise information. Integraf simplifies the development of enterprise web services so that business analysts and SMEs can do the majority of the work. An Enterprise Service Bus is not required, but it fits nicely within the framework of an ESB, regardless of the vendor. Integraf acts as a highly flexible integration hub within these architectures and provides a single interface point between the ESB and disparate data sources across the enterprise. Services built with Integraf are published via the ESB in its existing configuration.

Likewise, with Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing initiatives, Integraf can provide a virtual integration capability; or can enhance existing solutions with its integration flexibility and ease of use.
