In his session at 2nd WebRTC Summit, Alex Gouaillard, Founder and CTO of Temasys Communications, will address the problem of defining what WebRTC is and maybe more importantly what it is not. From there the anatomy of a WebRTC-based solution / product / service will be illustrated, and the main vendors proposing the missing pieces of such a solution will be introduced. At the end of this session, attendees will have a clear understanding of what WebRTC is and is not, what the components of a WebRTC Solution are, and who the corresponding vendors are today.

Speaker Bio
Dr Alex Gouaillard got his PhD from INSA, France, in Signal, Image and Video Processing and KEIO university, Japan, in Computer Science and Media Governance. He has more than 15 years of experience in setting up provably successful Research Groups both at highest Public Institutions (Caltech, Harvard, A*STAR, ...), and as Innovative Start Ups in Europe North America and APAC. He is nowadays focussing on webRTC in his role of founder and CTO of Temasys Communications and Head of Temasys Labs.Temasys Communication is one of the only 7 corporations to contribute to the "reference" open source implementation provided at webrtc.org, along with Google Inc., Intel Corp., Mozilla Foundation, Opera Software ASA, MIPS Technologies and Vonage Holdings Corp. W3C and IETF member, he is an active participant of the W3C WebRTC Working group, IETF rtcweb working group, W3C media capture and stream Task Force, and W3C Object RTC API Community Group.
