ProphetStor and GDS Collaborate on Creating Datacenter Cloud Storage Solutions to Enhance Cloud-Based Disaster Recovery

Alliance Brings Together Infrastructure as a Service With Software-Defined Storage and Disaster Recovery as a Service

MILPITAS, CA and BEIJING, CHINA--(Marketwired - June 04, 2014) - ProphetStor Data Services, Inc., a leader in Software-Defined Storage (SDS), and GDS, a high-availability IT services provider, today announced a strategic agreement to carry out an in-depth collaboration in cloud datacenter infrastructure, software-defined storage and cloud-based disaster recovery as a service (DRaaS). The alliance brings to market world-class disaster recovery solutions, initially targeting industries such as finance and government. The two companies will also pool resources in joint production labs as well as in branding and marketing. 

GDS and ProphetStor will be combining their respective expertise in Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) with SDS and DRaaS to push forward a cloud-based disaster recovery solution leveraging cloud infrastructure to offer local and remote disaster recovery services. This disaster recovery cloud will be highly flexible and scalable to rapidly and accurately restore a customer's business data and critical application systems while enabling business continuity.
