Spree Commerce's Sean Schofield Tells the Untold Story of Venture Funding for Technology Startups at RubyNation

WASHINGTON, DC -- (Marketwired) -- 06/05/14 -- Sean Schofield, CEO of Spree Commerce, the company powering the technology behind the best storefronts, will be speaking to the Washington, D.C. software development community at RubyNation about what every entrepreneur needs to know in order to succeed in the world of venture-backed, technology startups. Scheduled for Friday, June 6, from 3:15 to 3:45 p.m. ET, Schofield's presentation -- Technology Startups: The Untold Story -- is part of the RubyNation conference, which is taking place at the Silver Springs Building at Veterans Plaza, 1 Veterans Place, Silver Springs, Maryland.

Most of the technology companies represented at RubyNation have either received venture funding or have been confronted with the decision about whether or not to raise venture funding. A qualified expert on the subject of venture funding, Schofield will shed light on the topics rarely discussed such as strategies for raising venture funding, startup challenges specific to the region and how to think like a venture capitalist. He will speak from his own experience as a programmer and successful entrepreneur whose company, Spree Commerce, has raised a total of $6.5 million in funding, with $5 million in Series A earlier this year.

RubyNation is a community event run for and by the D.C. software development community. The sold-out event brings together the brightest minds of the latest technologies companies to share details on building solutions and businesses and discuss the newest emerging trends.

If you are interested in speaking with Sean Schofield on site at RubyNation, please reach out to Matt Caldecutt, [email protected], to schedule a meeting.
