RESTON, Va., May 17 /PRNewswire/ -- INPUT, the authority on government business, today announced the introduction of the INPUT Connector for Salesforce, a new Web services-based interface that enables INPUT members to import government sales opportunities and buying contacts from INPUT's Web- based information service directly into Salesforce. The interface is available as a free service to INPUT members that use salesforce.com's on- demand CRM application and can be found on salesforce.com's AppExchange at http://www.salesforce.com/appexchange.
"This new capability provides tremendous convenience in integrating INPUT's content into our members' workflow," said Kevin Plexico, executive vice president at INPUT. "We are pleased to be working with salesforce.com to provide our members with the ability to integrate INPUT opportunity identification and Salesforce opportunity tracking to save users time and improve productivity."
"The connector works great," said Mitch Prust, director of marketing at Multimax, Inc. "The integration between INPUT and Salesforce is seamless. The connector allows our business development team to find an opportunity using INPUT and directly imports the details into our Salesforce CRM application. The INPUT and Salesforce integration provides Multimax with critical market intelligence for our opportunities," Prust added.
The INPUT Connector for Salesforce uses the salesforce.com Web services API to import data from INPUT into Salesforce standard and custom fields. For identified opportunities, INPUT members can effortlessly import opportunity data into their salesforce.com opportunities and contacts, eliminating manual data entry and increasing both efficiency and data accuracy.
The INPUT Connector for Salesforce is the latest in a series of connectors available to INPUT members. Other connectors include the INPUT Connector for Deltek GovWin, and the INPUT Connector for Privia by Synchris, Inc. INPUT's Deltek GovWin connector integrates opportunity information pulled from INPUT's databases into GovWin business development and capture solution, while the Privia connector imports INPUT data into Privia's bid and proposal lifecycle management software.
