Jonas Jacobi, CEO & Co-Founder
Jonas Jacobi recently worked as VP of Product Management responsible for the product management and marketing strategy for Brane Corporation, a startup company in Silicon Valley. A native of Sweden, Mr. Jacobi has worked in the software industry for more than fifteen years. Prior to his appointment as vice president for Brane, he worked 8 years for Oracle as a Java EE and open source Evangelist, and product manager responsible for the product management of JavaServer Faces, Oracle ADF Faces, and Oracle ADF Faces Rich Client in the Oracle JDeveloper team. As co-founder and chief executive officer of Kaazing Corporation, Jonas Jacobi sets the company's business strategy and oversees all aspects of Kaazing's operations and mission to become the world-wide leader in real-time software. Mr. Jacobi is a frequent speaker at international conferences and has written numerous articles for leading IT magazines such as Java Developer's Journal, JavaPro, AjaxWorld, and Oracle Magazine. Jonas is co-author of the recently published book Pro JSF and Ajax: Building Rich Internet Components, (Apress).
John Fallows, CTO & Co-Founder
John Fallows is a pioneer in the field of rich and highly interactive user interfaces and co-founder of Kaazing Corporation. He recently worked as Architect at Brane Corporation, a startup company based in Redwood City, California. Originally from Northern Ireland, Mr. Fallows graduated from Cambridge University in the United Kingdom and has worked in the software industry for more than ten years. Prior to joining Brane, Mr. Fallows was a Consulting Member of Technical Staff for Server Technologies at Oracle Corporation. During his last 5 years at Oracle, Mr. Fallows focused on designing, developing, and evolving Oracle ADF Faces to fully integrate Ajax technologies. Mr. Fallows has written several articles for leading IT magazines such as Java Developer's Journal, AjaxWorld Magazine, and JavaMagazine (DE), and is a popular speaker at international conferences. Mr. Fallows is co-author of the recently published book Pro JSF and Ajax: Building Rich Internet Components, (Apress). In his role as chief technology officer, Mr. Fallows formulates the Kaazing Corporation's vision of creating the best real-time Web framework based on the Java standard. He defines the architecture of the Kaazing product suite and oversees its development.
Brian Albers, VP of Development
Brian Albers has over 11 years of experience in the field of User Interface technologies. His strengths are in product development for very large enterprises, with success in bringing products to production from the very early stages of research and prototyping. He has also presented his and his teams' work at international conferences. Throughout his career, Mr. Albers has been valued as a team leader and motivator. Prior to joining Kaazing, Mr. Albers worked as Senior Development Manager at Oracle, where he led the planning and designing of the next generation of Oracle's UI technology, an effort publicly known as ADF Faces. During his 10 year tenure at Oracle, Brian worked primarily on mixing cutting-edge technology with large enterprise demands (internationalization, accessibility, scalability). He proposed the open source donation of ADF Faces, which ultimately became the Apache MyFaces Trinidad project. Mr. Albers led a cross-team effort to develop a DHTML rich client and a mobile client presentation layer for Oracle's upcoming Project Fusion. In his career, Mr. Albers has focused on simplifying complex UI programming models for widespread use, while maintaining backwards compatibility and keeping future flexibility, which now pays dividends in Oracle's effort to move older technologies to it's Fusion stack. Mr. Albers received a BS degree in Computer Science from the University of Texas, Austin, and a BA degree in Plan II Honors from the University of Texas, Austin.
