OpenLogic Launches OpenLogic Exchange

Site offers Web access to OpenLogic?s certified library, including AJAX tools

OpenLogic has launched OpenLogic Exchange (OLEX) – a free Web site where companies can find, research, and download certified, enterprise-ready open source packages.

OpenLogic Exchange is designed for enterprises that want to use open source software. Today, enterprise developers must comb through massive repositories trying to find the short list of open source products that are viable and appropriate for their enterprise needs. Standard rating schemes used on most sites can be vulnerable to “ballet box stuffing” by project proponents or competitors.

“Enterprises need a trusted, objective resource for certified, enterprise-ready open source packages,” said Steve Grandchamp, CEO of OpenLogic. “OLEX is a comprehensive portal that provides free access to the information that enterprises need to select and download open source software. For companies that require enterprise-grade support and indemnification on any of the software packages available on OLEX, OpenLogic sells those services as well.”

OLEX provides access to more than 300 open source packages that are in the OpenLogic Certified Library, including AJAX tools, Web servers, application servers, databases, frameworks, development tools and testing tools. It is available at https://olex.openlogic.com.
