UBS Analyst on iPhone Future: New Version Before Spring?

Ben Reitzes: "Apple may push iPhone technology into other products, including Macs"

"Apple may push iPhone technology into other products, including Macs" - that is just one of a welter of widely-quoted predictions made recently by Ben Reitzes, an analyst for UBS Investment Research. Now he additionally claims: "Our contacts in the supply chain point toward a new iPhone model to be released by March." [Italics added.]

5 weeks ago Reitzes hit the news when USB adjusted what it calls its "12-month price target" to $182 (from $175). In his latest research note, Reitzes has raised that to $220...in the wake of Apple's announcement earlier this week that it sold 1.12 million iPhones in the first full quarter of iPhone sales, bringing the cumulative total to 1.39 million sold since it was introduced on June 29.

Shares of Apple Inc. earlier this week rose briefly to $188.00 to set a new all-time intraday high and take the market value of Apple past that of both IBM and Intel.
