Open Terra Offers SUSE a Mobile Connection

Open Terra and Novell have a deal that will make Open Terra's Java-based mSolve Enterprise Mobility platform available to SUSE and NetWare customers to create mission-critical mobile programs.

The mSolve widgetry provides for rapid application development and deployment and reportedly allows seamless integration with the major databases, web services, Message Queuing (MQ) systems, Enterprise Java Beans and legacy systems and logic. Novell customers using Novell's Ximian Linux desktop will be able to build and deploy mobile applications using Ximian's built-in Mozilla browser.

New Jersey-based Open Terra says it's going to integrate the C Sharp compiler in the Novell-sponsored Mono project so its mobile devices will be able to reach both Linux and Windows back-end systems.
