Parasoft Insure++7.0 For Novell SUSE LINUX Enterprise Server 9

Parasoft Create's First Testing Tool For Novell SUSE LINUX

Parasoft Corporation, a leading provider of solutions that automatically prevent software errors, announced the release of Insure++ 7.0 for Novell's SUSE LINUX Enterprise Server 9 platform. This memory error detection solution was developed to complement Novell's Linux offerings for new and existing ISVs, IHVs and solutions provider partners.

Wayne Ariola, vice president, corporate development, at Parasoft, said, "As an industry leader in software testing, we are pleased to be the first provider to deliver a memory error detection solution in partnership with Novell."

Insure++ 7.0 is the first memory error detection tool to support SUSE LINUX Enterprise Server 9. Insure++ is an automated runtime application-testing tool designed to detect the elusive, often hidden errors or corruptions that affect the reliability and performance of applications. Its enhanced instrumentation engine makes discovery of hard-to-find memory-related errors faster than ever. Insure++ 7.0 is the only memory detection tool supporting 64 bit development platforms from Intel and AMD.

"Year after year Insure continues to be the leading memory leak detection solution that finds the most elusive memory errors. "Runtime memory error detection remains a crucial part of software development. With the market increasing its adoption of the SUSE LINUX Enterprise Server, Novell partners gain another new development tool to develop robust Linux solutions," said Chris Cooper, director of Novell's Developer Services.

SUSE LINUX software developers can now utilize Insure++, a comprehensive runtime application-testing tool, to detect elusive errors such as memory corruption, memory leaks, memory allocation errors, variable initialization errors, variable definition conflicts, pointer errors, library errors, I/O errors and logic errors.

Ariola was optimistic and noted Parasoft's dedication in error prevention, now and in the future. .We want to be ready to meet the needs of SUSE LINUX Enterprise Server software developers with this comprehensive memory testing tool," he said.
