SugarCRM Announces Sugar Community Edition Stack Installers for Solaris and OpenSolaris

Installer for Sugar Community Edition Expands Customer Choice to Popular Open Source Environments

SugarCRM announced SugarCRM stack installers that provide simplified, wizard-based installation for Sugar Community Edition, the latest version of SugarCRM’s popular commercial open source CRM application for both the Solaris and OpenSolaris platforms.

SugarCRM stack installers provide maximum ease of use and convenience by installing all the necessary components to run SugarCRM properly in a Solaris and OpenSolaris environment. The stack installer provides an intuitive, easy to deploy interface that installs Apache, MySQL, PHP as well as Sugar Community Edition quickly and easily.

“We’re thrilled to extend the ease-of-use and simplified installation of our stack installers to Solaris and OpenSolaris users,” said Paul Oh, director of Technology Alliances, SugarCRM. “Sugar Community Edition is used by thousands of organizations worldwide and we have seen increasing customer demand for the Solaris OS and open source operating systems such as OpenSolaris.”

“We are delighted that users can now easily deploy SugarCRM on the Solaris 10 and OpenSolaris platforms on SPARC or x64 systems, taking advantage of Sun's robust, open source, enterprise-class environments,” said Juan Carlos Soto, vice president, Global Market Development and Engineering, Sun Microsystems. “Managing customers successfully can make the difference between success and failure for many businesses and the combination of SugarCRM and the open source Solaris OS reduces risk for our customers.”
