Fujitsu Siemens Computers Virtualization Technologies and EMC Continue To Deliver Integrated Solutions in the Kingdom

Virtualization Growing

The companies met recently with more than 100 of the country's most senior IT managers to showcase the advanced integration capabilities between Fujitsu Siemens Computers' dynamic data center computing platforms and EMC's information storage and management software solutions for back-up and recovery, and information lifecycle management.

The two-day regional road show, which visited Riyadh and Jeddah, highlighted Fujitsu Siemens Computers' strategy to drive business-responsive IT utilizing the latest virtualization and automation technologies, and how the dynamic data center can leverage EMC backup and recovery solutions for seamless processing and storage of data. Building on an eleven-year corporate relationship between Fujitsu Siemens Computers and EMC, regional executives from both companies discussed the ways in which the companies are working together in the Middle East to address their mutual customers' business challenges.

'With trends such as virtualization and green IT offerings coming to the fore in Saudi Arabia, we are leveraging our joint market reach to address these and other key issues that CIOs are facing in the Kingdom. Tightly integrating solutions from Fujitsu Siemens Computers and EMC are driving change with better availability, continuity, flexibility, and reduced operational costs,' said Chandan Mehta, Product Manager - Enterprise Products for Fujitsu Siemens Computers.

'The ability to set service levels and then dynamically control the delivery of resources to meet requirements, prioritize processes in real time, and rapidly deploy new services with the correct infrastructure, whenever the business requires them, are no longer a CIO's dream, they are a reality with our joint offerings,' added Mehta.

Fujitsu Siemens Computers' Dynamic Data Center strategy enables customers to replace dedicated connections between servers and services with virtual relationships, creating pools of computer and storage resources that are provided to applications on demand. It uses virtualization, automation and integration technologies to move companies on to a service-oriented architecture in which computers and database resources can be assigned to applications dynamically. This yields increased flexibility and reliability as well as a considerable improvement in the cost-effectiveness of the IT infrastructure.
