Increase Speed of Application Development and Reduce Code Base With Axiom Stack Personal Edition From Axiom(R) Software

AUSTIN, TX -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 03/09/08 -- Axiom Software has chosen the SXSW Interactive Trade Show and Festival, a leading festival targeting Web technology innovators and digital creatives from across the globe, to announce the release of the Axiom Stack personal edition bundled with the Axiom Blog. Axiom Stack is a rapid development Web framework that provides everything you need to build more, better web applications, in a language you already know. The Axiom Blog is a simple, yet progressive, weblog application. The personal edition of the Axiom Stack and the Axiom Blog are being distributed for free download on the Axiom Stack website at www.axiomstack.com. Axiom Software is exhibiting at SXSW Interactive in the iF! Trade Show & Exhibition, Stand #714.

The personal edition will offer most of the same features of the commercial editions including a Web server, integrated security, search and database.

"Axiom Software is pleased to be able to make this edition available free of charge to help developers experience how simple creating dynamic websites and applications can be," says Gregg Wyland, the Director of Product Management for Axiom Software. He adds, "Our developers have been creating Web 2.0 applications with Axiom Stack for some time. The increased speed of production and reduced code base has been a powerful advantage."

Axiom Stack is a simple, flexible and robust application stack that speeds development time by using server-side JavaScript as opposed to compiled Java Servlets.

"Very little work is needed to achieve object persistence and it is largely transparent to the developer," says Ali Beyad, Senior Software Engineer at Axiom Software.

The Axiom Blog is included as a fully functional reference application. It includes a WYSIWYG editor and full management interface. Axiom Blog has an import feature which will allow those currently blogging with WordPress to easily import their content.

When talking IoT we often focus on the devices, the sensors, the hardware itself. The new smart appliances, the new smart or self-driving cars (which are amalgamations of many ‘things'). When we are looking at the world of IoT, we should take a step back, look at the big picture. What value are these devices providing. IoT is not about the devices, its about the data consumed and generated. The devices are tools, mechanisms, conduits. This paper discusses the considerations when dealing with the...
