emerion Powers VPS Offerings with Parallels Virtualization Virtuozzo Containers

emerion vServers Also Use Parallels Plesk Control Panel and Parallels Business Automation Software

emerion WebHosting is using Parallels Virtuozzo Containers to power new virtual private server (VPS) offerings for its customers.

emerion vServers also use Parallels Plesk Control Panel and Parallels Business Automation software to provide a complete solution for managing VPS services, including billing and provisioning.

The new emerion vServers for Linux are available with three service plans to accommodate from 300 GB up to 1,500 GB of monthly traffic. Each vServer includes root access and up to 1 GB burstable RAM with SSH, root login, a dedicated IP address and web-based server maintenance for re-start and recovery.

"We are pleased that emerion has chosen Parallels software to deliver VPS solutions in Austria," said Serguei Beloussov, CEO of Parallels. "The Parallels Open Platform will help emerion embrace new opportunities and drive greater revenue from its hosting offerings."

"Parallels Virtuozzo Containers deliver the performance, scalability and integration that we require for our new vServer line," said Bernd Hilmar, CEO of emerion. "We are excited to be able to offer high quality VPS services, so that our customers can consider Austria-based datacenters for their VPS needs at an attractive price."

Parallels Virtuozzo Containers is an operating system (OS) virtualization solution, featuring high levels of density, performance and manageability. On a single physical server and single OS installation, it enables users to run workloads in multiple, simultaneously running execution environments called "containers".

The Parallels Open Platform enables hosting with Parallels virtualization and automation technology through integration with a wide range of third-party applications and systems. The Application Packaging Standard (APS), a key element of the platform, is used by ISVs and service providers to seamlessly integrate applications to offer to the more than 10 million businesses and individuals that use Parallels products.
