Red Hat and MySQL Say They Are Expanding Their Partnership

Red Hat and MySQL says they are expanding their partnership in the name of optimizing scale-out solutions for the enterprise. They’re promising “significant new joint initiative” and pretty much let it go at that. No details. Apparently they intend to test the MySQL database on Red Hat’s Cluster Suite and Global File system (GFS). GFS lets a cluster of MySQL servers simultaneously read and write data to a single shared file system on a SAN, reducing the complexity of managing redundant data copies.
