ComAbility neXus Wins 2009 NGN Leadership Award

NGN magazine singles out the ComAbility neXus subscriber and services operations platform for its stateless policy solution that can overcome NGN deployment complexity, simplifying daily management and operations and accelerating advanced services delivery

PALO ALTO, Calif. and HERZLIYA, Israel, April 28 /PRNewswire/ -- ComAbility (www.comability.com), which develops subscriber and services operations policy solutions for telecommunications carriers and service providers, has been awarded TMCNet's First 2009 NGN Leadership Award for outstanding achievement in the IP Communications space, featuring outstanding products, services and technologies in NGN and IMS environments.

The NGN Leadership Award, sponsored by NGN magazine, cites products and services that have made a major contribution to the success of both the company and the entire NGN industry. ComAbility has been singled out for its ability to solve operators' number 1 obstacle in NGN deployments: the complexity of deploying an integrated subscriber and services solution that can deliver advanced services and simplify daily management and operation.

"We're pleased to extend the NGN Leadership Award to the ComAbility neXus platform, which has demonstrated its unique ability to overcome NGN deployment complexity using a stateless policy approach," says Rich Tehrani, president of TMC. "This solution exemplifies the hard work that companies like ComAbility are undertaking to accelerate adoption of NGN technologies during these next critical months."

"Unlike traditional top-down policy management approaches, which complicate network and OSS/BSS workflow and component upgrades, ComAbility's neXus subscriber and services operations platform applies a bottom-up approach to optimize network element capabilities, ensuring performance, scalability and reliability," says ComAbility VP Marketing and Business Development Dror Sneh. "neXus is the only stateless solution that provides 100% exposure to network elements' capabilities, accelerating deployment of personalized subscriber services. System integrators using this solution streamline project integration by 85%-90%, using neXus's built-in SI toolkit. "

The ComAbility neXus platform is deployed worldwide by tier 1-3 operators. ComAbility recently reported a major win from its second European Tier-1 operator this year.

TMCNet's NGN magazine will publish the official announcement in the upcoming May/June 2009 issue of TMCNet's NGN magazine. The initial announcement can be found at: http://news.tmcnet.com/news/2009/04/13/4127424.htm

When talking IoT we often focus on the devices, the sensors, the hardware itself. The new smart appliances, the new smart or self-driving cars (which are amalgamations of many ‘things'). When we are looking at the world of IoT, we should take a step back, look at the big picture. What value are these devices providing. IoT is not about the devices, its about the data consumed and generated. The devices are tools, mechanisms, conduits. This paper discusses the considerations when dealing with the...
